Norwood, MA Pulling for Injured High School Hockey Player Matt Brown #3

In late January, Norwood High School hockey player Matt Brown (#3) was injured in a game crashing into the boards.  Currently paralyzed from the chest down, Matt faces a long battle ahead of him.  As you’ll see in Mike Lynch’s High 5 below, he and his family are strong in the face of adversity – as are his coach and teammates.

Cooke Hit on Savard – Was it Dirty or Not?

Covering the Boston Bruins has, quite honestly, become more of a burden than I had envisioned it to be when I started this blog.  The success of last season really sucked me in….but this season has just really sucked. So I will no longer pretend to be following the Bruins season, but will be making entries about other crap.   By coincidence only, the first topic is a Bruins topic – was Matt Cooke‘s hit on Marc Savard a cheap shot?   One thing is for sure – the Bruins playoff hopes may have been taken off the ice on the same stretcher as Savard on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburg.

On August 19th 2007, an oil tanker off the coast of Australia split in two, dumping 20,000 tons of crude oilSenator Collins, a member of the Australia Parliament, appeared on a TV news program to reassure the Australian public.  This actual interview is so funny, you’d swear it was a Saturday Night Live, Monty Python or Abbott and Costello skit.
